An advanced search
can help you specify your search criteria and search multiple categories
such as location, style and media at once. You can also narrow your keyword
search to particular fields within an artist's information. The link to
the advanced search page is directly below the keyword field on the right
of the top menu bar.

Results go
The results to your search will appear on the bottom on the screen, and
each artist will have two thumbnails that appear along with their name
and brief caption information. When you click on a thumbnail you can see
a larger image. You can see more of that artist's work by either clicking
on their name, or the link that says 'view artist's portfolio'. The artist's
portfolio will contain up to 12 images of their artwork, and resume and
statement if they have included that information. You can also 'add artist
to lightbox' from the results page (see Curator's Lightbox below) or 'Email
the artist' from the results page.
Artist's Portfolio
go
Each artist has a portfolio page that will include up to 12 images of
their artwork, caption information, resume, statement, and link to their
website. It is up to each artist to keep their portfolio page updated,
and they can choose to include as much or as little information as they
wish. The artist's portfolio page also shows the artist's location, and
allows you to add the artist to your lightbox, email the artist, or email
the artist to a friend. When you do this, a direct link to this artist's
portfolio page will be emailed to your friend.
Curator's
Lightbox go
The Lightbox function allows you to keep track of artists you are interested
in. You must log-in to take advantage of this feature - either as an artist,
or as a curator/user. Once you have logged in, your lightbox will remain
for you and save all the artists for the next time you visit the website.
From the Lightbox menu you can also create sub-folders for specific projects
or subjects. For example you might create a sub-folder 'Blue Painting
Show' where you can keep artists specifically related to that theme. You
can also share your lightbox(es) with a friend by emailing it to them,
or printing it out for your records. These functions are available using
the drop down menu on the right. To create a sub-folder, check the boxes
of the artists you want and choose 'copy selected artists', and then 'Go'.
The next page will let you choose 'New Folder' and then name it what you
wish.
